IFSP Reviews

An IFSP meeting must be conducted on at least an annual basis to evaluate the IFSP.....and as appropriate to revise its provisions. (Rule 51:007.13B, 480 NAC 10-003L)

A review of the IFSP for a child and the child's family must be conducted every 6 months or more frequently if conditions warrant or a family or professionals request it The review may be carried out by a meeting or by another means that is acceptable to the parents and other participants. (Rule 51:007.14B., 480 NAC 10-003L)

Parents may want to initiate an IFSP Review to discuss concerns or announce major changes in their child's life (surgeries, hospitalizations, transitions to new communities, etc). Professionals may wish to call a meeting to discuss conflicts in team services or need for full group discussion about a change in how services are delivered if informal contacts do not result in needed adjustments.
