Instructions Page 3: Child & Family Strengths

This page will list the child and family strengths as identified by the family, service coordinator and other team members. This will take into consideration the natural resources unique to the child and family. It is important to look beyond the 'typical' strengths to identify possible untapped resources within the family. For instance, there may be extended family members who play an important role in the child's life that may be called upon to participate in planning for the child and family. In order to bring out this type of information, it is helpful to ask open ended questions about the family's routines, hobbies, and interests.
