IFSP Team is Established

The Services Coordinator must document that each IFSP is developed with the participation of at least the following persons:

  • the parent(s) of the child
  • other family members, as requested by the parent, if feasible to do so
  • an advocate or person outside the family, if the parent requests this
  • the Services Coordinator who has been working with the family since the initial referral, or who has been designated to be responsible for the implementation of the IFSP
  • a representative of the school district who has the authority to commit district resources
  • as appropriate, persons who will be providing services to the family and
  • a person(s) directly involved in conducting the MDT evaluations. (If they are unable to attend, arrangements must be made for the person's involvement through other means.)
